Working together on genealogy for the future, that is the motto of the luxroots group
This makes us one of the most successful providers of Luxembourgish genealogical data.

luxroots is a group of family researchers who have come together to build the family tree of Luxembourg and its neighboring regions benefiting from the technological developments of the past 30 years. Apart from the computer and the internet, luxroots would not have been possible without the digital camera and the Internet flat rate for the work of their associates and subscribers on their remote server. It is only working together which makes it possible to achieve this goal.
Therefore, join our group as an associate or subscriber and help us move forward faster in our goals. Nothing prevents you from keeping your personal research and continuing at your convenience. We reward your commitment by increasing you more
myluxroots points for your added information.

luxroots counts among the registered visitors of its websites approximately 1,300 family researchers living in Luxembourg. More than 350 of these visitors are supporting the projects of the group with their work or through a subscription thus making it the largest genealogical group in Luxembourg.

Do not hesitate to participate in this great puzzle of genealogy of Luxembourg by analyzing and capturing the details of the records of your preferred township or parish. We are looking for people entering births in the cantons of Capellen, Grevenmacher, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg and Remich as well as for the Belgian and German border regions.
In addition, some 200,000 baptisms are waiting to be deciphered to enter details of these records. If you know Latin, we need you!

(Please note that people born until 1923 are often entered in our database on basis of information from the National Archives and that the people born after y (y=actual year-100) are not shown.)
The subscriber can add studies, jobs, functions, addresses, other information, pictures and links to all the records. The subscriber, enriching the database luxroots, earns myluxroots points.
