Dear subscribers, dear visitors of our websites, dear friends

Visit us at our information booth at the 72 hours of volunteering on Friday, June 3rd, 2016 from 2 to 5pm at RBS à L-5955 Itzig, rue de Contern, 20.
We present our genealogy project to recruit new volunteers and new subscribers to fund our projects.
Read about it the articles in the
Tageblatt (in German) and in Le Quotidien (in French) on June 17th, 2016.

Be a volunteer of the non-profit luxroots.com association, and help us build together the family tree of Luxembourg. In less than 5 years, luxroots.com is able to establish pedigree charts or lists of offsprings up to 13 generations (~1600 to 2020 period) for every person born, married or died in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and even in border areas online and within seconds.
Join a team of over 50 volunteers who have engaged in meaningful and informative work, that is useful for the future. Genealogy has never been easier than today!

You do not need to go to townships or to archives. luxroots makes available to its associates the pictures of the records of a certain township/parish free of charge which they plan to analyze and enter the details in the luxroots-database.
Do not hesitate to participate in this great puzzle of genealogy of Luxembourg by analyzing and capturing the details of the records of your preferred township or parish. Check our inventory of records of townships/parishes
to be analyzed soon or other available documents.

For the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, birth certificates for some 770,000 people have been established during the period from 1798 to 1923. The details of more than 96% of these births are available on luxroots . For the period before 1798, documents related to baptisms for Luxembourg are available for around 320,000 people. We already entered details of 48% of these baptisms.
Furthermore to these births and baptisms in Luxembourg, we added details of 158,000 births from Belgium, 70,000 from Germany and 15,000 from other countries on luxroots.
For the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, some 190,000 marriages were established during the period from 1798 to 1923. The details of more than 63% of these marriages are available on luxroots. Apart from these marriage certificates from Luxembourg, we have entered 10,800 marriages from Belgium, 4,100 from Germany and 4,000 from other countries (France, ..).
