Visit of the Centre National de l�Audiovisuel in Dudelange, Thursday, May 5th - Register before May 2nd
we will meet at 3.15pm in front of the CNA � Dudelange, 1b, rue de Centenaire. Duration: 2 hours.
On May 12th, 2011, a conference with our colleague, Fons Wiltgen, to discuss locality names used in records. All those interested are welcome!
Visit our group at the Lernfest in the Lyc�e Classique in Echternach, Sunday, June 5th, 2011 from 10am to 6pm
Visit of the cinema Norbert Hansen in Schoenfels on Thursday, June 9th, at 3pm - Please register !
We willmeet on the parking of the Centre Culturel in Leudelange in order to carpool to go to Schoenfels. We will return to the same place around 6pm to finish the afternoon in the outdoor bistro 'An der Eech' in Leudelange
Trip to Bitburg Thursday, June 30th from 9am to 6pm with the visit of the St�dtische Bibliothek der Dr.-Hanns-Simon-Stiftung (Haus BEDA) (open from 9am to 1pm, 3 to 18.30pm) with a special collection of 150 family books of the region and optionally the visit of the Kreismuseum (open from 11am to 5pm) - Please register

The meeting of the history associations of the 2 Luxembourgs during the weekend of April 2nd to 3rd allowed the luxroots.lu-associates to meet new friends with interest in genealogy and local history.
We hope to be able to respond positively to the invitation of colleagues in Saint-Hubert, organizers of the next meeting, to present our projects.

214 births 1797-1823 of the former township Dellen by Paulette GRUN-BESCH
570 marriages 1840-1910 of the former township Tavigny by Ren� MARX
453 births 1797-1830 of the former township Born by Ramona et Marcel LINCK-GAMBUCCI
99 births 1797-1823 of the former township Stegen by Micheline et Fernand HERMES-METZ
2.824 births 1800-1900 of the former township Noville and 143 births 1800-1823 of the former township Rachamps by Andr� SCHMITZ.
2.600 births 1799-1923 of the township Vichten by Georges EICHER
960 marriages 1840-1923 of the township Hosingen by Armand SERRES-HEINEN (1840-1865) and Henriette HEILES (1866-1923)

We need more associates to help us with the data input of records for the following Townships and parishes as well as of the cantons of Capellen, Grevenmacher and Remich which we want to add to our project. Contact us if you are interested in working with us ! Which associate is working on what today ?

Maintaining the highest quality of information, is one of the primary goals of our project and therefore we only enter data based on copies of authentic acts. Read our article about this topic and help us to further improve the quality of our data ! Thanks to all people who helped already to improve this quality !

On the website of our partner, www.roots.lu , one of the most visited genealogy website in Luxembourg, you can do searches in the family books of the parochias of Diekirch, Ettelbruck, Mersch et Septfontaines with more than 15.000 marriages and 33.000 children. (source: family books by our colleague Fons WILTGEN.)

The Forum for genealogy and local history in Luxembourg www.g�n�alogie.lu is a website with questions and answers, with information on the genealogy search in Luxembourg, searches by descendants of emigrants from Luxembourg, and the answers to these questions from the visitors. Nearly 750 questions are waiting for their answer! To ask or answer a question, you must register (free)!

www.eluxemburgensia.lu , online since 2009, offers online-reading of the former editions of newspapers and searches by word therein.
The editions of the Luxemburger Wort (1848-1950) and of the Tageblatt (1913-1950) are now all online.
Under www.luxemburgensia.bnl.lu , you can find some other digitalized documents.

As already informed,
through our page luxroots.com/ec , you get the FamilySearch.org pages with published copies of records of the Civil Register of Luxembourg for the period 1796-1894

Many copies of records (parish or civil records) of France are available on the Internet, the City of Paris and other departments .

The monthly sheet 4/2011 of the History and Museum association Zwischen Venn und Schneifel, St.Vith continues its article series on Lawyers from the court records of B�tgenbach (1650-1795), publishes an article on prisonnerson the isle of Ol�ron born between 1840-1849 Eifel-Schneifel region , an article on the 'GIRCKEN' in the court of Amel (Ambl�ve), ...

The historical association Pr�mer Land published in this 2/2011 a portrait of the priest Johann Hubert SCHMITZ, born August 9th,1765 in Dackscheid (Arzfeld) and deceased on August 3rd,1838, and some other interesting articles from the region.
