The quality of our information and the satisfaction of our subscribers and visitors are our priorities.

The first half of 2013 will end soon. Thanks to the continuous commitment of our associates, more than 100,000 documents were analyzed during this period and their details have been entered into our database currently indicating the details of approximately 715,000 records.
The quality of our information is a primary goal of our project and therefore, our data is entered only on the basis of copies of records. If you find an inconsistency in our information, please let us know by activating the or one of the Q link(s) located on the form of the concerned person.

Two new associates, having reached th goal of 500 births, have joined our project during this month so that we now have 50 active associates.
Mireille WEBER-ZENNER, Schifflange, with the entry of the births of Schifflange.
Edmee KARIER-SCHWARZ, Hagen, with the births of Steinfort.
For our project expansion to the cantons of Mersch, Capellen, Grevenmacher, Remich, Luxembourg, and Esch-sur-Alzette and in the regions bordering Germany and Belgium, we are looking for associates to operate in the townships/parishes in this region. Join the great (jigsaw)puzzle of Luxembourgish genealogy by analyzing and capturing the details from records of your preferred township/parish in our database. Contact us if you are interested in working with us !

Our associates are regularly present with an information desk at events about genealogy and local history. Therefore, we are present
  • Saturday, June 29th, 2013 from 10am to 4pm at the 'Bourses des livres' at the Centre Am Sand in Niederanven

Which associate is currently working on what ?

With luxroots you'll find in just 2 seconds the 11 children born in 10 differents townships of
Jacob BACK (born on March 3rd, 1873 at Wahlhausenerstrasse-Pütscheid and of Catharina BENDELS (born July 18th, 1877 at Schoenfels-Mersch) who married in Mersch on May 29th, 1895. Imagine how much time you would need to invest to find these children in a traditional way! However, we are not sure to have found them all!

myluxroots offers transactions to the subscribers to manage their genealogy. The subscriber can add members of his family born after 1894 (when they are not already in our database), add studies, jobs, functions, addresses, other information, pictures and links to all the records. The subscriber, enriching the database luxroots, earns myluxroots points. These points can be used to build pedigree charts and/or lists of descendants for people in the database already linked by marriage.
